Treasure Hunts on Segways in Dingli and Buskett

Malta Independent Thursday, 6 December 2012, 17:38 Last update: about 11 years ago

Malta Segway Tours is taking the concept of treasure hunts to another level, with the launch of treasure hunts on segways. Apart from the exhilaration that a treasure hunt brings with it, participants will have the added excitement of looking for clues while riding a Segway. The treasure hunt on segways is being held in scenic surroundings of the Dingli, Buskett and Dingli Cliffs.

Speaking about the launch of Treasure Hunts on Segways, Director Adrian Fabri said that, “we’ve been focusing on a programme of different events right from the start, realizing early in the project the potential that Segways have in bringing people together to interact and work together.  For the time being the treasure hunts on Segways will be mainly held in Dingli however we are looking at other venues for the near future. The treasure hunts on Segways are ideal for corporate team building events, outings with friends, family reunions and Segway parties.”

The route of the treasure hunt on segways is over three hours and passes through picturesque land and seascape as well as unspoilt terrain. It kicks off with an orientation session by guides from Malta Segway Tours. Each team will then take on slightly different routes, but teams will cross each other along the way. This in itself adds to the fun competitive spirit of the event. In the end, both teams interact to solve one final riddle that will help them complete the adventure.
