With reference to the recent reports carried in all the local media regarding the court proceedings the police have instituted against Freddie Fenech, the Association for Abandoned Animals (AAA) would like to make it clear that Mr Fenech is no longer associated in any way whatsoever with the AAA. In fact this has been so for a number of years.

The AAA is now administered by a committee elected from among its members, and its sole purpose and existence is to safeguard, protect and care for the hundreds of abandoned animals entrusted to it. Their welfare is our only priority.

The new Committee of the AAA would like to assure the general public that it scrupulously follows all fiscal and other legislation.
