Lawrence Gonzi has told us more than once that he respects Joseph Muscat. In their personal relationship, he says, the respect is mutual.

That is how it should be. It is very right and proper. But the Prime Minister has told us before that he does not mind if we do not believe him. And I don’t.

For how can he say he respects Dr Muscat and then call him a hmar? Is that what people say about others whom they respect?

I will take that one further. If it is alright for him to call someone a hmar whom he ‘respects’, I imagine the adjective would be stronger for someone whom Dr Gonzi ‘loves’. What does Dr Gonzi call his wife, or his children, for instance? I imagine he ‘adores’ Eddie Fenech Adami, who made him Prime Minister. What does he call him?
