Hearing Simon Busuttil on Bondi+ lauding Lawrence Gonzi to high heaven, and clearly stating that he wants Lawrence Gonzi to continue leading the PN “for a very long time”, must have left many thousands of PN supporters flabbergasted, at least !

 I am sure that the great majority of councillors who voted for Simon Busuttil during the deputy-leadership race, were hoping that Simon could bring radical change to the party: What they heard on Bondi+ must have shattered their dreams , since it is a known fact that Lawrence Gonzi – and not the dissenting backbenchers, including Franco Debono – were at the root of the grave internal problems which has plagued Dr Gonzi’s government !

 Indeed, Simon Busuttil has shot himself in the foot, much to the delight of those councillors( and some cabinet members) who believed that Tonio Fenech was a much more mature politician , who would not make such a “gaffe” , which can only keep alienating more PN supporters away from GonziPN !
