The President of Floriana FC has resigned four months months into the job, after he was appointed at the beginning of August. In a short statement Justin Attard attributed his decision “solely due to personal reasons”.

Mr Attard said that he holds no regrets for holding such a post of one of Malta's biggest clubs and an MFA Council member for the past 4 months.

The outgoing president said that his decision comes at the right time, leaving the club in a stable administrative situation and with a good chance of placing in the Championship Pool. In hic concluding remarks he said wish the best of luck to his successor, who has not been named yet.
