New partners at Camilleri Preziosi

Camilleri Preziosi, the commercial and corporate law firm with offices in Valletta, has announced that Malcolm Falzon, Ron Galea Cavallazzi and Donald Vella have joined Louis de Gabriele, Henri Mizzi, Laragh Cassar and Marisa Azzopardi as partners of the firm with effect from 1 January.

Malcolm Falzon joined the firm in 2003 as a trainee and became an associate following his return from postgraduate studies in London, where he read for a Masters in Corporate and Commercial Law. He will now be taking further responsibilities in his areas of specialisation which include mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, asset finance, insurance and gaming law. Malcolm forms part of the Corporate & Finance Practice Group.

Ron Galea Cavallazzi graduated in 2004 and also joined the firm as a trainee. He will be appointed partner in the Regulatory, EU & Litigation Practice Group with responsibilities in areas where he has been specialising in the past years. These include EU and Competition Law, Public Procurement, Aviation Law, Employment and Industrial Relations, Information Technology and general Commercial Law.

Donald Vella will be appointed partner in the Corporate & Finance Practice Group, with particular responsibilities for taxation, corporate restructurings, trusts, foundations and corporate services. He joined the firm in 2005 as a trainee and became an associate one year later. Following his studies in Malta he read for a Masters in Corporate and Commercial Law at the University of London. Donald regularly advises on tax matters and represents clients in courts and fiscal tribunals on direct and indirect taxation matters.

All three appointments are the result of a continued strategy of organic growth adopted by Camilleri Preziosi over the years, a strategy aimed at fostering the core values of the firm and investing in the professional development of its people. 

Through these appointments the firm now has seven partners, four within the Corporate & Finance Practice Group and three within the Regulatory, EU & Litigation Practice Group.
