As the election campaign progresses, Dr Gonzi keeps increasing the number of “panic” statements! The most incredible one to date is his claim that the PL’s plans for a new gas power plant, financed by the private sector, “is a criminal act”!

Notwithstanding the fact that Dr Gonzi knew, when making this incredible claim, that the PL’s proposal had been scrutinised and audited by the same international consultancy company used by his own government on a number of occasions. These included the problems faced by the BWSC plant in Delimara, as well as business organisations, unions (including UHM), NGOs, university professors and a number of his own party ex-MPs, but Dr Gonzi suffered no pangs of conscience when making such a stupid statement, which must have bewildered many of his own party’s members − those who use their brain to arrive at a conclusion!

I repeat an earlier claim I made. Dr Gonzi has become an embarrassment to his own party.
