It is supposed to be against the law to allow dogs to be allowed to poop in the streets. Signs are up, showing that owners will be liable to a fine if caught taking their dogs out. Yet still our streets are littered with dog dirt. Worse still are the people who let their dogs out for the afternoon and let them do their business everywhere. It is not the animals’ fault. The blame lies purely with their owners.
What I wonder is where the wardens are. They are always there to guide traffic around cranes, or slap motorists with fines for parking badly, but what about this issue? Wardens are there to uphold the law, and this is one of them. Zebbug is a case in point as many dog owners just allow their pets to do their business as they please and not clean up after them. It is also the same with dogs roaming the streets on their own all day. People should be held responsible.
