Following the unusual hail storm that hit the island last week, Atlas Insurance received around 330 claims from clients whose cars had been damaged, reaching an estimated cost of €500,000.
Atlas Insurance got to work to find the best possible solution for its clients - calling in teams of UK dent specialists who will be applying Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Technology. This is an efficient solution which in most cases will also safeguard the original manufacturers’ paint as much as possible, and significantly reducing repair time
Arrangements with The Dent Network and Smart Cover UK have been finalised, and repairs have commenced at the chosen PDR Centres.
“Atlas Insurance was the first to get in touch with these specialists, in order to provide our clients with the best solution possible,” stated Motor Claims Manager, Mr. Joseph Cortis. “Due to the volume of claims, we are carrying out motor surveys at a survey point. In this way we can also see more cars on a daily basis – working by appointment in order to reduce the inconvenience for clients. In fact, we managed to inspect 240 cars in a week, specifically related to hail storm damage.”
Prior to inspection, all clients have been given a free car wash, in order to professionally ascertain the extent of their vehicle damage. Atlas Insurance is also offering its clients who have suffered hail storm damage a courtesy car, further minimising inconvenience.
