Ali Carter won the German Masters snooker tournament by defeating Hing Kong's Marco Fu 9-6 in the final in Berlin.
Carter came from 3-5 behind at the mid-session interval to beat Marco Fu with the loss of only one more frame, 9-6.
Fu had the better start to the match, winning the first two frames, and then compiling a century break of 104 to lead 3-1. Although Carter levelled the match at 3-3, Fu compiled a run of 83 to hold a two frame leave.
In the evening session, however, Carter was the man in form. A sharp break of 116, followed by a second century of 126, brought the scores level, and from 6-6 he ran out an easy winner, securing the next three frames with little trouble.
