I have just received a letter from the chief executive at BOV telling me that Marccus Partners & Mazars group, found that I am an experienced investor and I am therefore not eligible for additional payment.
Well, my only employment was at the drydocks, working as an engine fitter and not in a bank employed as an investor. So I wonder how Marccus came with that verdict, without even knowing how I was pestered with telephone calls from the BOV to invest in this fund.
I was promised that this fund is rated as safe so I took their word and invested in this fund. So by doing this I, was rated as an investor.
Why did those who pestered me with telephones calls to invest forget me when this fund was not doing well and only those from the inner circle from the BOV went and withdrawn every single euro they had in this fund.
If this is not a white collar theft, then I want someone to illuminate me about this matter.
If Marccus and partners wanted to do justice with us and if they wanted to do this in a professional way, they should have interviewed us and will know the truth about this matter.
I had a meeting with the Malta Financial Services Authority, and from the way we talked, they knew that I was not an investor. But they did nothing to solve this, all they did was wash their hands and leave us all in the hands of Marccus and partners.
