Defending champions Juventus beat Fiorentina 2-0 in the Serie A on Saturday to extend its advantage at the top of the table to five points after second placed Napoli were held to a draw by third placed Lazio.

Mirko Vucinic gave Juventus the lead in the 20th minute with a powerful effort under the bar following a poor clearance by Gonzalo Rodriguez.

Alessandro Matri doubled Juve's lead shortly before the break, scoring his third successive goal in unusual circumstances, as the striker's boot had already fallen off before he struck the ball.

Juventus coach Antonio Conte and defender Leonardo Bonucci were sitting out bans for insulting a referee.

Lazio took an early lead with a Floccari goal in a highly entertaining match in which both sides hit the woodwork twice each. Napoli obtained the deserved equaliser three minutes from time with a Campagnaro volley from a corner-kick.
