Neptunes Emirates 10 Exiles Ferretti 4

(1-1), (3-2), (3-1), (3-0)

What seemed to have been a close encounter between Neptunes Emirates and Exiles Ferretti ended up being an easy win for the Balluta Summer League champions who ran out winners 10-4 in their first match of the BOV Waterpolo Winter League.

The first two sessions saw a finely balanced encounter with Exiles going ahead through Peter Borg but Neptunes came back strongly midway through the second session to lead 4-1 largely through the efforts of Michele Stellini and Niki Lanzon. Exiles then made it 4-3 with two late goals from Rizzo Naudi and Paris.

The third session saw Neptunes again open up a commanding lead with Lanzon and Stellini finding the net. In the final session, Exiles gave up the ghost with Neptunes scoring three times without reply for a 10-4 scoreline in their favour.
