Last week, we were playing a friendly game of five-a-side football in Tarxien. One of us had a nasty fall and got injured quite badly,  to the extent that we thought it would be wise to call for an ambulance.

We tried the emergency 112 number and waited a total of 12 minutes till our call was answered. In addition, we waited a total of 20 minutes till an ambulance finally arrived. We did not call the emergency services frivolously, we were genuinely worried. 32 minutes is far too long.
