Hunting

Malta Independent Monday, 22 April 2013, 07:56 Last update: about 14 years ago

It seems like hundreds of hunters think they can take the law into their own hands. Out for a country walk earlier this week, the peace was shattered by gunshots going on left right and centre. You could also hear that there were consecutive gunshots going off. As far as I know, it is illegal to use a shotgun that can take more than two cartridges at one go, but there seemed to be a lot of them.

To be fair, the police were out in force, and the government has tried to clamp down on illegal abuse, but it makes you ask the question, why do the hunters seem to think that they can flout the law with impunity?
