The structure of MCESD should be enlarged to provide a broader representation from the civil society. This new representative should be chosen by the civil society. 

Tto date the organisations mostly represented in MCESD come from the Trade Union and the Employers’ sector, with four representatives each. While the civil society has only one representative, and another representative comes from the Gozo Regional Committee.

The Employers Association (MEA) report also advocates a broader participation from the civil society. The General Workers Union is also of the same opinion, for a greater inclusion of civil society in the MCES”.
