The Nationalist Party Executive Council has elected Simon Busuttil by a 93 % which is a significant majority.
As a new leader, he pledged his dedication to recuperate the party’s fortunes after the defeat in the last general election. However, Simon already pointed out that he cannot do this alone and that everyone must work as a team. The Executive Council endorsed his approach in appointing two deputy leaders, one responsible for parliamentary affairs, the other for the party's administrative and financial engine to function concomitantly in running a successful group.
With these parameters envisaged, the party will recreate an effective and penetrating force to face the next general election and win.
Good luck Simon.
