KONNEKT- Search and Selection, the leading psychology oriented recruitment agency has joined forces with Omnicor to organise a duo of workshops; the first being Assessments for HR professionals.
The first session was held on May 9, at The Palace in Sliema, where HR professionals from different sectors met to discuss these new candidate assessment techniques. The workshop focused on the function of accurate assessments during recruitment and career promotions. The participants were able to take a closer look at the tools and methodologies used in psychometric tests and identify what each specific test accomplishes.
Josef Said, managing director at KONNEKT said that “many people underestimate the knowledge required to do a good placement and with the help of Omnicor training tools we are addressing this gap in the market.”
“Understanding competencies and how to use them gives organisations a proven edge in recruiting and developing staff. This is the workshop Omnicor is most frequently asked to run because of the practical tools and insights it provides and is aimed at both those who are new to HR and those who wish to deepen their understanding” commented psychometrist and trainer Cathy Farlam Ashton.
A second session called Competencies: The framework for people effectiveness is being held on May 23. This full day workshop is focused on giving practitioners the skills to develop their own competency dictionaries, as well as role and competency profiles. These skills will enable the delegates to assess individuals more clearly by understanding what is being assessed. Attendees will then be asked to practice their new skills in a simulated profiling session. This workshop aims at helping HR move closer to the business. Following on from the workshop, Omnicor will provide feedback to delegates on their first five profiles and provide a certificate of accreditation in the Omnicor role profiling theory and method.
