The Labour government seems to want to undo all the good that the previous administration did for Valletta.

The idea that the monti open market is transferred from Merchants Street to Ordnance Street is ridiculous. To have the stalls right beyond City Gate is beyond comprehension.

It is clear that the Labour Party wants to undermine the importance of the new Parliament building. By having the marketplace right next to it, it wants to make it appear ugly. But in so doing, it is also undermining the institution of Parliament.

The Labour government is showing no respect to the highest institution of the land.

It is a shame.
