Everywhere you go in Malta, you risk putting your foot in it, literally. You find dog poo everywhere. Some dog owners are responsible and clean up after their pets, taking a plastic bag with them, as they are required to do by law.
Wardens are supposedly on the lookout for offenders, but more often than not, dogs are left to roam the streets and do their business when and where they like. The only solution is microchipping. All dogs should be microchipped and wardens should be given a chip reader to trace the owners and fine them. The situation as it stands, is disgusting.
