Professor Henry Frendo's latest two books, Europe and Empire (2012) and Party Politics in a Fortress Colony (3rd ed., 2013) were launched in London by the Institute of Commonwealth Studies and the Overseas Service Pensioners Association.

The event took place earlier this month in the Grand Lobby of Chancellor's Hall, Senate House, Bloomsbury, in the presence of Lord Carrington and other distinguished guests during a historic conference on 'The Legacy of Empire' in which scholars, diplomats and politicians from all over the Commonwealth participated.

Professor Frendo's address focused on 'language, jobs and governance'.
