This weekend, SmartCity Malta will be hosting the island’s first ever Startup Weekend! This not-for-profit event is specifically designed to help active and empowered entrepreneurs launch their ventures. However, the help and support offered to these budding entrepreneurs won’t only be available at the event. In fact it has already begun on Startup Weekend Malta’s Facebook Group!

Startup Weekend Malta, together with SmartCity Malta, has taken the initiative of creating a group on Facebook for the promotion of online collaborative problem-solving and brainstorming amongst budding and veteran entrepreneurs and companies.

Mentors, organisers, entrepreneurs, investors, Startup weekend participants and other business-minded and creative individuals have already joined the group and started posting their questions and answers. Group members do not only benefit from the ideas generated in the group, but companies who are willing to help also benefit from the publicity they attract.

The support and guidance offered for entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs in the region will take a more hands-on approach at this weekend’s event and will continue thereafter on the Facebook group.
