Vettel takes 3rd straight pole at Canadian GP

Malta Independent Saturday, 8 June 2013, 20:52 Last update: about 12 years ago

Sebastian Vettel has earned pole position for the Canadian Grand Prix for the third consecutive year.

The Formula One points leader timed 1 minute, 25.425 seconds in the final qualifying session.

Lewis Hamilton also will be in the front row for Sunday's race Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

Intermittent rain dampened the course and slowed the cars for the last two of the three qualifying sessions. Sunday's forecast called for only a small chance of rain.

The second qualifying session was interrupted when Felipe Massa turned sideways and skidded into the wall at Turn 3.
