The Nationalist party has ‘noted’ the declaration by the police commissioner that means “peace of mind and satisfaction for John Dalli and his family.”

“Although John Dalli’s departure as EU commissioner was based on a political decision, the PN always respected John Dalli’s right to have adequate space to defend his name. The PN, as always, respects the legal process,”  a terse PN statement said. 

According to Police Commissioner Peter Paul Zammit, as matters stand there is not enough evidence to arraign former European Commissioner John Dalli over allegations that led to his abrupt resignation from the European Commission last October.
