Tuesday 7th of May saw Monarch Airlines, the leading leisure airline; launch its first ever scheduled flight to Malta from the East Midlands Airport. As frequently stated by the airline, Malta is a favourite holiday destination for the British travellers.

To celebrate the arrival of this new airline to Malta, Hilton Malta was proud to exclusively host a Press Trip from Monarch Airlines between the 11th  of May and the 14th  of May. The journalists hosted by Hilton Malta consisted of the following: Heather Large, Wolverhampton Express & Star series; Alexander Britton, Nottingham Post; Ian Croson, Derby Telegraph; Suzanne Gibson, Leicester Mercury; Kimberley Mogg, Sheffield Star; Gail Palmer, KTA PR, Escort.

The expansion of Monarch Airlines’ network of destinations caters for 18,000 seats available between flights from the East Midlands Airport to Malta for the summer of 2013. The flights will be operating twice a week on a Tuesday and Saturday.
