Romanian to be returned to Italy

The Court has ordered that a Romanian national wanted by Italy is sent there after he completed his prison term in Malta. Magistrate Neville Camilleri has ordered the return to Italy of Romanian national Nicolae Ilie following the issuing of a European Arrest Warrant.

Ilie, 29 was born in Bucharest and is presently detained at Corradino Correctional Facility. The Italian authorities issued a European arrest warrant requesting his return. He was sentenced in absentsia for a prison term in Italy. He said in court that he is willing to go to Italy.
