Microsoft Malta has embarked on a month-long campaign to promote its Windows 8 and encourage people to experience the revolutionary software first hand utilising Windows 8 devices.
The campaign throughout June, kicked off last weekend with an event at The Point shopping complex where shoppers were surprised with a flash-mob by a group of musicians. A number of promoters then walked round and invited people to view how the new Windows 8 operates.
There is a complete ecosystem of Windows 8 devices ranging from tablets, laptops, slates and desktops for customers to choose from such as the Windows 8 RT, a tablet-only version of Windows 8 designed to run on thin and light tablets, Windows 8 Tablets that come in various configurations including slates, convertibles, dual-screen laptops, and reversible screen laptops and the Windows 8 Touchscreen desk or table- based desktops that have the computer built into the monitors and are touchscreen enabled.
“Those who experience Windows 8 for the first time are pleasantly surprised by the new form factors and touch capabilities of Windows 8 as well as by the fun in personalising one’s desktop or device according to the applications and games one uses most. We wanted to emphasise this surprise element by surprising weekend shoppers with an event which also gives them an opportunity to win,” said Jacqueline Harvey from Microsoft Malta.
People participating in these events are being invited to play a game with the chance of winning free Windows 8 Upgrade Packs.
The next Windows 8 Demo Events are due on Saturday 15th at The Point and at The Embassy, on Sunday 16th at Baystreet, on Saturday 22nd at The Point and Embassy, on Sunday 23rd June at Baystreet and closing on Saturday 29th at The Point.
