International Adlerian Summer School

A summer school on Adlerian Counselling and Therapy is being organised by the Department of Counselling within the Faculty for Social Wellbeing at the University of Malta. Professor William Nicoll from the University of Florida Atlantic, United States will deliver the lectures. Prof. Nicoll is an internationally-renowned expert in individual and family counselling, brief therapy and resilience. The summer school is spread over two weeks, where the first week will cover Counselling Strategies with Individuals and Couples, and the second week will explore Counselling with Children/Adolescents and Families.

This summer school targets professionals, practitioners and students in the fields of counselling, psychology, education, health sciences and other helping professions. The event will be held between 8 and 19 July and participants may opt to attend one week or both weeks. The fee for this Summer School is €200/week. The Summer School will be held at the Valletta University Campus, St Paul’s Street.

A certificate of attendance, which is valid for Continuous Professional Development purposes, will be presented to all participants. Attendees holding a first-cycle (undergraduate) degree may opt to have the training accredited by the University of Malta (worth 12 ECTS), and may then apply for an official transcript. Normal University of Malta fees will apply for requests for an official transcript. Places are limited.
