Kreattiv Project 2013

Malta Independent Friday, 14 June 2013, 11:44 Last update: about 11 years ago

The climax of the Aerial Perspective project was reached during the last week of May with 20 male and female students from Saint Theresa College Mriehel Girls Secondary School and Saint Theresa Birkirkara Boys Secondary School forming the cast and crew of Skies, a film written by Stanley Agius.

The shooting of this film took these young people to several historical sites around the north of Malta. The students were exposed to new skills in a non-formal fun environment. Some of these skills included gender equality, time management, acting in front of a camera, living with others, data logging, filming and being positive, to mention a few.

The project, sponsored by Kreattiv, was carried out in collaboration with Motion Blur. The short film was directed by Shirley Spiteri Mintoff, director of Photography, Stanley Agius and produced by Mario Demanuele.

The rest of the crew was composed of students who rotated all the roles needed for shooting this film. The College Youth Worker Pauline Tufigno was instrumental in the coordination of this project.
