A 24-year old man was jailed for a year after admitting before Magistrate Saviour Demicoli that he stole from two shops in December last year.
Carl Ciantar admitted that between 13 and 14 December, he stole items worth more than €233 from a stationery shop in Ta’Xbiex. He also admitted of wrecking part of the place and made around €116.47c worth of damage.
He also admitted that between 22 and 23 December he committed a second theft from a shop in Paola, from where he stole more that €233 worth of items and caused damage to the shop.
Ciantar also admitted that he failed to comply by a Magistrate’s previous decree order.
Dr Marion Camilleri appeared for Ciantar while Inspectors Fabian Fleri and Jurgen Vella prosecuted.
