The environment was the theme tackled by a group of girls from the Saint Theresa College Youth Club who participated in the EU Parliamentary Debate organised by European Commission Representative Office in Malta. 

The students wrote an essay on the European Year 2013 theme of ‘Citizenship’, which they read out to the audience present at the Aula Magna, Old University in Valletta on last month’s Europe Day. 

The group’s speaker, Julia Cini, also read out a question that was answered by MEP Roberta Metsola Tedesco Triccas.  The team were awarded a certificate of participation and a tablet computer.
