David Moyes has renewed Manchester United’s interest in Robert Lewandowski with the new Old Trafford manager aiming to bolster the club’s attacking options should an audacious attempt to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo prove unsuccessful, The Mirror reports.
Moyes, who returns from holiday on Monday before officially starting his role as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor on July 1, is pursuing the Portuguese forward, who moved to the Bernabéu for £80million four years ago.
But with Real determined to retain Ronaldo, who has two years left on his contract, United have identified alternative targets.

Arsene Wenger is prepared to break Arsenal’s club record transfer fee for the second time in a matter of days to sign Marouane Fellaini, The London Evening Standard reported.
The Gunners are closing in on a record £22million deal for Gonzalo Higuain and now the Arsenal manager is considering activating Fellaini’s £23m release clause at Everton.
All parties are confident Higuain will soon be joining the Gunners from Real Madrid.
Wenger’s attention will now turn to other players, with the Frenchman determined to act quickly after several summers in which the club’s transfer activity was dictated by the protracted departures of leading players. The Arsenal boss has been an admirer of Fellaini for some time. Aside from being a proven success in the Premier League, the Belgium international has the versatility that Wenger craves in potential targets, given Fellaini’s ability to play in midfield and as a striker.

Milan still has nine days to take Carlos Tevez. Until 30 June Galliani has an agreement with the player's agent who has given priority to Milan. Once past that end, Tevez will be free to agree with other teams, including Juventus. Galliani still has enough time to place Robinho to Santos and obtain the money needed to bring Tevez with the Rossoneri.
Robinho is the problem that needs to be solved by the end of the month. The Brazilian wants to return to Santos but the latter offer only 6 million compared to the 10 required by Milan. In the coming days Milan will try to reach an agreement thanks to the mediation of Raiola, agent of Robinho. It is likely that the deal closes at 8 million. Sold Robinho, Galliani will close the deal with City for Tevez.
