Loyal Andre Villas-Boas wants to stay at Spurs after the club offered him a way back into the Premier League, the Mirror reports.

The Tottenham boss has been named as the new PSG coach but - despite his friendship with the French club’s president Nasser Al Khelaifi - Villas-Boas rejected the overtures.

He said: “I have had a friendship for some time with the president of PSG. He is a friend and we speak regularly, but my commitment is with Tottenham.

“It was the club that allowed me to return to the Premier League and I feel good there.”

Three former England managers want to jump on the Brighton line, the Daily Star reports.

Steve McClaren, Glenn Hoddle and Sven Goran Eriksson have all made it known they would love to take over from the suspended Gus Poyet.

Brighton are currently working on a list as the new season approaches because it is clear Poyet will not return.

Agents have told the 21-year-old Celtic ace he could pocket more from a deal at Galatasaray or Fenerbahce than in England.

Footballers in Turkey only have to pay a basic 15 per cent rate of tax – the lowest in Europe, even ahead of Monaco.

This year Galatasaray lured former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder to the club by agreeing to pay their taxes for them.
