Transfer news: If Cavani deal fails, Chelsea to go for El Shaarawi

Both have just finished the Confederations Cup. One won the Golden Boot with 5 goals, the other has done nothing much except to score one of the penalties that helped Italy beat Uruguay in the watch for third place.

Fernando Torres and Stephan El Shaarawy now become the protagonists of a possible market exchange, Italian media report. Milan and Chelsea could soon talk about it because Mourinho has chosen the Pharaoh as an alternative to Cavani.

The Blues are in fact making a last attempt to try to get to the Matador of Naples. The Chelsea intend to raise the offer to almost 52 million euros, which is still 11 million short of what Napoli are demanding.

A meeting could be held on Tuesday between the Napoli president and Cavani in Naples. But Mourinho has already chosen the alternative: not Hulk or Rooney, but El Shaarawy. Milan are ready to sit at the table to talk and ask Torres, Italian media report.
