Three projects to complete Ten-T road network

Malta Independent Tuesday, 2 July 2013, 08:48 Last update: about 12 years ago

Three large projects which form part of the Ten-T network that will, when completed, create a link from the southernmost tip of Malta to the northernmost tip in Gozo are still to be built, Transport Minister Joe Mizzi told Parliament.

The projects, co-financed by the EU, are the Salina Coast Road, where tenders for the works are being evaluated, the Kappara roundabout, and December 13 Road, where work is already taking place.

Work on the Salina coast road is expected to start later this year and last 12 months. Tenders for the work on the Kappara Junction will be issued in late September and it is planned that they start in mid-2014 and finish 18 months later.

The Ten-T network in Gozo is now completed.
