Transfer news: Chelsea target taken off the market

Malta Independent Wednesday, 3 July 2013, 08:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

Chelsea target Stephan El Shaarawy has been taken off the market by Milan.

The young forward was a possible replacement should the deal with Napoli striker Edinson Cavani fall through, but after meeting the club on Tuesday, El Shaarawy is no longer on the transfer list.

The club and the player have come to terms on the way forward, and the Little Pharaoh has expressed himself pleased to stay on with the club he has always supported.

Fiorentina’s deal with Bayern Munich’s Mario Gomez is close to the finishing touches. New Bayern coach Pep Guardiola does not have plans for the striker and his move to Florence would open the way for another striker, Stevan Jovetic, to be sold to the highest bidder.
