Napoli have made contingency plans in case they can't land their primary transfer target Fiorentina marksman Stevan Jovetic, The Daily Express reported.
Dzeko's future has been the subject of much conjecture, with new Manchester City manager in the midst of a major shake-up at the Etihad.
Originally, it seemed that Dzeko would be used as a makeweight in a player plus cash deal involving Edinson Cavani, however a deal seemed to hit the buffers.
However, it seems that Napoli could revive their interest in the Bosnian, should a deal for Jovetic fall through.
Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport has it that Jovetic is their main striking target, but Dzeko could be available for £17m.
