AZ Alkmaar striker Jozy Altidore will have talks with Sunderland after the clubs agreed a deal for the United States international, the BBC reports.

The 23-year-old, who played in the Premier League for Hull City in 2009-10, will travel to England and could have a medical on Monday.

Alkmaar confirmed the agreement on their website but declined to reveal the fee involved.

Altidore has two years left on his contract at the Dutch club.

Altidore moved to the Netherlands two years ago from Villarreal and has been a success, scoring 38 times in 67 league games.

If Paolo Di Canio's Sunderland sign Altidore, they will be the busiest Premier League team this summer with seven signings.

The Black Cats have already signed Modibo Diakite, Valentin Roberge, Cabral, Duncan Watmore, David Moberg Karlsson and Vito Mannone.
