Chealsea are set to be frustrated in their long-running pursuit of Edinson Cavani as PSG are expected to tie up a deal in a matter of hours, Daily Express reported today.

The Napoli hit man was originally linked with a move to Chelsea, after reports surfaced that he had agreed personal terms on a salary of £7.2m a season.

But now it seems Chelsea have lost the race as PSG are set to announce Cavani as their latest acquisition.

A report in Spanish publication Marca says PSG will pay £55m for his services.

In addition, they say that they he will be paid a staggering £8.5m a season to play at the Parc des Princes.
