Christian Benteke is heading for an explosive showdown with Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert today, The Sun reports.

Villa’s £25million-rated wantaway striker, 22, is a Tottenham target after slapping in a transfer request last week.

But the Belgian could be sentenced to join a growing group of Villa outcasts — dubbed the bomb squad.

Shay Given, Alan Hutton, Stephen Ireland, Barry Bannan and Darren Bent are among the stars currently out in the cold.
