Seminar at Microsoft Innovation Center discusses Cloud Computing, CRM

Malta Independent Tuesday, 23 July 2013, 18:10 Last update: about 12 years ago

The effectiveness of cloud computing and the advantages that businesses can enjoy when they apply proper CRM procedures throughout their operational set-up were the main themes at a morning seminar recently hosted by BMIT Limited and supported by their technology partners iMovo at the Microsoft Innovation Center.

“The Microsoft Innovation Center is living up to expectations and is establishing itself as a meeting hub for industry and IT professionals to come together, share knowledge, experiences and expertise,” stated Adrianna Zammit, Country Manager for Microsoft Malta. “BMIT, a specialist in cloud computing, is one of the official partners of the MIC and iMovo is a respected company in the field of CRM solutions and we are delighted to have seen them coming together to offer other professionals an informative working seminar at our innovation center,” said Ms Zammit.

In his presentation, Nick Tonna from BMIT explained how the cloud allows customers to take advantage of IT services and applications that would otherwise require large up-front investment, require lengthy implementation cycles and ample human resource effort to maintain. He also spoke about the importance of trust when companies put their data in the hands of cloud service providers and explained how at BMIT, the leading provider of data centre and cloud services in Malta, thorough emphasis is made to ensure that customer data is kept secure, confidential and always available.

Pierre Mallia, CEO of iMovo and Daniela Castillo, also from iMovo, then addressed the seminar about the importance of customer relationship management and how this is becoming increasingly essential for those companies who need to increase profitability by focusing on nurturing customer satisfaction and loyalty in the sales, marketing and customer service fields.

Introducing iMovo’s customer relationship management software suite, they explained how having all sales and marketing tools interlinked, allows marketing professionals not only to rapidly launch campaigns, but also rapidly measure response, and subsequently adapt, optimise and personalize communications for more impactful interaction with the customer – which in turn, makes it much easier to measure marketing return on investment. The user-friendly system, which is fully integrated with BMIT’s cloud platform, is completely configurable and is designed to accommodate and integrate with other services, systems and software seamlessly.

“Our support to the Microsoft Innovation Center stems from our vision of building effective partnerships in the local market. Our cloud portfolio not only offers services such as hosted exchange and backup solutions, but also specific offerings such as the hosted Microsoft Dynamics CRM solution we offer in collaboration with our partners iMovo or hosted ERP solutions via other partner of ours,” commented Christian Sammut, Chief Executive of BMIT Limited. “Our plan is to continue expanding this solution-based capability, and are therefore constantly looking at potential collaborations with solution providers wishing to use our infrastructure to make the most of the cloud benefits,” concluded Mr Sammut.
