London Fashion Week SS14 schedule unveiled

The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the provisional schedule of the London Fashion Week (LFW) spring/summer 2014, slated to run through September 13 to 17, 2013.

Felder Felder would kick start the first-day event with showcase of its collections on September 13, while Todd Lynn would close the day’s show. In between will show designers and brands including, Bora Aksu, Haizhen Wang, jasper Conran, Daks, Pearce Fionda, PPQ, Eudon Choi and Christopher Raeburn.

As Zoe Jordan opens the second day show, others including John Rocha, Antipodium, Markus Lupfer, House of Holland, Orla Kiely and Julien Macdonald would follow. The second day is also scheduled to show women specific collections by James Long and J.W. Anderson.

On September 15, attendees would get to see collections of Preen by Thornton Bregazzi, Margaret Howell, Barbara Casasola, Emilia wickstead, L’Wren Scott, Paul Smith, Temperley London, Matthew Williamson and others. 

Smythson, who is featuring in LFW for the first time, would debut with a top-secret event on the third day, while the same day would also bid farewell to Emma Hill who for the last time would present her collection for Mulberry.

On fourth day of the event would show British luxury brand Burberry Prorsum, and alongside would show others like Christopher Kane, Pringle of Scotland, Peter Pilotto, Erdem, Antonio Berardi, Tom Ford and Giles. Nicole Farhi, the brand that recently filed for administration, would present the closing show for the day.

The final day of the event would feature collections of designers and brands including Anya Hindmarch, Thomas Tait, Fashion East, Emilio de la Morena, sass & bide, Maria Grachvogel, Paul Cosstelloe and Chinese designer Huishan Zhang. 

Amongst all these brands and designers, the nine fashion labels recognized as the brightest emerging fashion labels by BFC to be bestowed with sponsorship from the newly focused designer support initiative NEWGEN by TOPSHOP, would also showcase at the event. The nine names include – Sister by Sibling, J.JS Lee, 1205, Marques’ Almeida, Sophia Webster, Simone Rocha, Lucas Nascimento and Nasir Mazhar.
