Bank of Valletta organised an appreciative event for a group of 125 employees who between them contributed over three thousand two hundred years of loyal service to the Bank.
Of these, the largest group of 87 became BOV employees for the first time two decades ago, others celebrated 30 and 35 years in service whereas one employee celebrated forty years of continuous employment with the Bank.
Bank of Valletta CEO, Charles Borg was present for the event and thanked the group for their dedication and unfailing commitment over the years. “The Bank has always recognised its workforce as its greatest asset. Arguably this is truer today than it ever was in the past. The financial services world was severely hit by economic crisis and turmoil, and yet the Bank has faced the challenges and kept growing from strength to strength. This was primarily due to its workforce that is dynamic, motivated and loyal.”
Wishing those present the best of luck in their careers, Charles Borg concluded his intervention by saying, “Bank of Valletta is focused to remain the leading financial services provider in Malta, leveraging the Group’s strengths to the benefit of our customers and the Maltese economy. The backing of our loyal and committed employees gives me the certainty that we’ll continue to raise the bar.”
Bank of Valletta employs more than 1,500 staff across its retail network, offering opportunities at every career stage, spanning from customer-facing roles to vital operational and support functions.
