Marcelle Demajo from Xghajra will be travelling to Turin with her sixteen year old son Nicolae as the winning ticket holders following a promotional competition organised by The Embassy Cinemas in collaboration with Alfa Romeo.

The competition was organised to promote the latest sixth installment of ‘Fast & Furious’ which saw the Alfa Romeo Giulietta cast as one of the main protagonists.

During their 3-day trip to Turin this coming September, which also includes flights and accommodation, Marcelle Demajo and Nicolae will have a lifetime opportunity to visit to the Fiat Historic Centre, Abarth Factory and Mirafiori motor village.

“This is quite an emotional trip for me. By sheer coincidence, it so happens that both my late husband’s uncle and my cousin have worked for Fiat in Turin for many years. My husband’s uncle in particular, was very respected by Fiat to the extent that when he passed away, FIAT made sure his coffin was covered with the company flag,” recalls Mrs Demajo. “We are very looking forward to this trip not only because we will be meeting some of our relatives there but also because we will be visiting some of Fiat’s most important landmarks.”

“Seeing the winning ticket go to a competition participant who already shares a strong affinity with FIAT is even more rewarding for us and makes this promotional competition even more successful. They are clearly fans of the series of movies having been among the first to watch this a few days after the opening date,” said Bettina Azzopardi, Managing Director of the Embassy Cinemas. “We are delighted to see Mrs Demajo and her son Nicolae on their way to Turin in September where we are sure they will have a special and truly memorable trip.”

Directed by Justin Lin and starring actors like Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson, Fast & Furious 6 has already seen over $712 million in box office earnings worldwide. It was launched in the first week of May and after only one month, Fast & Furious 6 had already overtaken its previous instalment Fast & Furious Five to become the highest-grossing film in the Fast and the Furious franchise, with a worldwide gross of $636.9 million.

“At The Embassy Cinemas, Fast & Furious 6 was the most attended movie in 2013 so far, running for a full 2-month period,” added Bettina Azzopardi.

The winning tickets were presented to Mrs Marcelle Demajo by Kenneth Rizzo Naudi, Sales & Marketing Manager at Alfa Romeo.
