Measuring 4,248 mm in length, 1,766 mm in width and 1,674 mm in height, Trax sports a subtle centerline crease on the hood surface, muscular rear haunches and a rearward swept roofline, all of which contribute to the vehicle's dynamic appearance.
The engine line-up comprises a 1.4L turbocharged gasoline engine, a 1.6L gasoline engine as well as a 1.7L diesel engine. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the 1.4L churns out 140 hp (103 kW) and produces a maximum torque of 200 Nm across a rpm band of 1850~4900. The 1.7L diesel engine delivers a power output of 130 hp (96 kW), and 300 Nm of torque between 2000 and 2500 rpm. All manual transmission variants come with Start/Stop functionality.
Storage amenities in the new Trax are plentiful. They include various compartments above and on both sides of the center stack as well as an available under-seat storage tray. Trax' loading space can accommodate a maximum of 1370L; further space can be made available under the cargo floor.
In addition to the standard 60/40 split rear seat, upper trim vehicles boast a front passenger seat that can be folded flat, offering additional flexibility for objects of up to 2.3 m length. Up to eight seating configurations can be selected, the rear seat row has a regular 230V socket that can be used for recharging electronic devices without the need for an adapter.
Upper trims of the Chevrolet Trax feature the Chevrolet MyLink* enhanced connected radio. The system aggregates content from smartphones onto the seven-inch diagonal, high-resolution, full-color touch-screen display and provides easy access to phone books, personal playlists, photo galleries and videos, and other stored media and data.
Compatible devices can be connected via USB or Bluetooth. There is also a dedicated plug-in outlet for certain personal music devices and smartphones that do not use USB or Bluetooth connections. The Chevrolet MyLink connected radio supports the BringGo navigation app, which can be downloaded onto compatible smartphones, as well as the TuneIn and Stitcher apps which connect customers to a wide range of radio stations, podcasts and news.
