(3-4, 1-8, 2-3, 1-6)

The champions went sole leaders again, though with a game more, as they swept away Exiles’ challenge, beating them in three straight league games. It was a no-nonsense victory for Neptunes, coming so soon after their shock defeat by San Giljan, and they will also be meeting Sliema next Saturday. They had Jordan Camilleri sent off, early on after the interval, for remarks passed against one of the officials. The two sides, given the outcome of the encounter, opted to put in their second keepers, for a taste of the match.

It was actually Exiles twice in front at the start, with goals from Kayne Lanzon and Peter Borg, with Niki lanzon and Tamas Molnar replying for Neptunes, who then scored twice more, from Steve Camilleri, before Diego Borg reduced the deficit for Exiles. In the second period the champions ran riot, as Molnar, Michele Stellini, Molnar again, and Camilleri all struck home, with Lanzon getting a sole goal for Exiles, before the champions were on their way once more, with more goals. By Camilleri, Molnar and a brace from Timmy Agius, for a 12-4 interval score.

After the break came Jordan Camilleri’s efection, with substitution, as Vojoslav Cupic and Alex radovic struck home for exiles. Till the end of the session Neptunes were back, with a trio of goals, a Camilleri penalty, Agius and Camilleri again, to hike up Neptunes’ score to 15-6. In the last quarter Molnar put in two more goals, with Benji Lanzon getting a penalty goal, and Camilleri adding on to his total. Cupic managed another exiles goal, with neptunes getting past the twenty goal mark, through Camilleri and Molnar.

This time the champions had a healthier eight goals from eleven man ups, with Camilleri on eight strikes, Molnar getting seven goals and Agius on  three. Exiles had six favourable expulsions, scoring half of them, and Cupic and Kayne Lanzon scored twice each.
