Two MAs for various professions and administrators

Malta Independent Thursday, 8 August 2013, 08:03 Last update: about 11 years ago

Results from a recent consultation showed that there is wide interest in following a Master’s degree about services for children and families, as well as regarding services promoting mental well-being. In response, the Department for Social Policy and Social Work at the University of Malta is inviting applicants to two MA courses starting in October.

One is an MA in Social Work, which suitably qualified and experienced social workers can take within either of two streams, one being Working with Children and Families, the other stream being Community Social and Mental Well-being. Diploma holders can also apply, under certain conditions.

The other Master’s course is open to suitably experienced graduates of social policy or related subjects, or of other qualifications or professions that are considered by the admissions board to be relevant to its subject. An MA course in Social Policy will be offered within one stream, that is, Community Social and Mental Well-being, to those with such relevant qualifications and experience.

Details of the courses, procedures and qualifications required can be found on http://www.um.edu.mt/socialwellbeing/overview/PMASWKPET9-2013-4-O and http://www.um.edu.mt/socialwellbeing/overview/PMASPCPET9-2013-4-O

Applications are now being received on-line at https://esims.um.edu.mt/esims/ipp/appindex.html
