A book titled Prisons No More by Maltese author Josephine Ciancio, a collection of mostly science fiction stories, has just been published.

“Prisons No More” is the title of the book’s first story, where we see how an alternative to prisons could be found. ‘Meat and Vengeance’ deals with a professor who is an expert in genetic engineering.

In ‘Pearls Down the Drain’ we meet with a political activist and ‘The Standbys’ deals with people who have had their memories stolen.

In ‘Serious Fun’, a professor vindicates himself against three other professors, while ‘Opening a Window’ describes what could happen if we do not look after the environment.

In ‘The Reign of the Cyborgs’, cyborgs steal the bodies of young people and in ‘On the Road to the City’ a young woman kills her son.  ‘Planet Hell’, meanwhile, deals with people coming back to life.
