(5-1, 4-2, 3-3, 5-3)

Sliema ended their season with a handsome victory over Sirens, just five days after their BOV K.O. success. It was a good ending to the season for Sliema, with their third win over Sirens, who still have a match to play, next weekend. Sliema had Timmy Sullivan missing, his place taken by Christian Cluett. Sirens had Arpad Babay returning to action, after missing their last match.

Jerome Gabarretta gave Sliema an early double lead, with Babay reducing the deficit for Sirens. Then it was Sliema once more, with Damir Buric, Cluett and a Gergely Kiss penalty, for a good advantage. In the next session Sirens changed their away caps, as the two sides’ headwear was too similar to the officials. Csaba Kiss converted a Sirens penalty, and Sliema were on target again, with Buric, Nikolai Lubrano and John Soler strikes. Zak Mizzi scored with a good backhand for Sirens, and before the interval Soler struck again for Sliema, for a solid 9-3 lead.

After the break it was Kiss scoring for Sliema, with a two goal reply for Sirens, from Alex Attard and Babay. Marl Meli scored for Sliema, and Babay completed his hattrick for Sirens. Cluett netted for Sliema, who promptly put David Abela in goal. The session ended with Sliema leading 12-6. Sirens also changed their keeper, with Jor Cremona going in goal. Babay was sent off, and Sliema had Edward Aquilina putting his name on the scoresheet. Another Csaba Kiss penalty for Sirens was ably saved by Abela, and when Daniel Paolella was out on fouls for Sliema, Attard scored for Sirens. Buric replied for Sliema, but he was soon out on fouls, and David Cutajar scored for Sirens. Sliema struck twice, through Kiss and Lubrano, with Sirens responding with a Jurgen Borg goal. Seconds from the end Sliema were awarded another penalty, this time converted by Gabarretta.
