The Unitel Classica New Concert Season 2013/2014 has kicked off on GO interactive TV. For its new concert season Unitel Classica presents a special Concert series taking music lovers on a journey to more than 20 of the world’s greatest orchestras around the world and introducing them to the main works of the upcoming season. The concert season 2013/2014 that commenced on the 1st will run to the 29th September. Through the 28-day span from Mondays to Fridays at prime time 20:15, Unitel Classica is airing concerts staged by the most prestigious orchestras in the world. Music devotees subscribed to Gold interactive HD package are currently following Unitel Classica on their memorable “concert tour” that started off with the Cleveland Orchestra in the USA in Cleveland (Ohio, the New York Philharmonic and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The journey from West to East continued in Europe with the Orchestre de Paris and will now move on to the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, to the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, to the Berliner Philharmoniker, to the Staatskapelle Berlin, to the Staatskapelle Dresden, to the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia from Rome, to the Wiener Philharmoniker, to the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Saint Petersburg and others. A spectacular concert by the NHK Symphony Orchestra from Tokyo will bring the journey to a close.
Following every prime time concert, viewers will be introduced to the main pieces that world-renowned orchestras will perform throughout the upcoming season – gearing them for the exquisite performances in store for them.
On Sundays throughout September, Unitel Classica is featuring concert highlights from main European orchestras: the Staatskapelle Dresden (Sept 22) and the Wiener Philharmoniker (Sept 29). Additionally, all five concerts of the week are repeated on Sunday afternoons.
Performing the New Concert Season 2013/2014 Special, more than 50 concerts will be featured including two world premieres and a number of platform premieres.
